Methodology Update—Combined “Letter of Notification and Solicitor-Client Privilege” and Revised AG Briefing Process (for performance audits)
May-2013
Subject: Combined “Letter of Notification and Solicitor-Client Privilege” and Revised AG Briefing Process
Target audience: All performance auditors
Effective date: May 2013
The following changes have been made to OAG performance audit methodology:
- A new template letter combining the “Entity notification” and “Solicitor-client privilege” letters is now available in TeamMate and on the INTRAnet. This combines the previous separate processes. This change is also reflected in the Performance Audit Manual, Section 2030 Communication with the audit entity: initial and ongoing.
- Section 4046 Planning Phase Auditor General Briefing reflects the new AG briefing process near the end of the planning phase. It effectively replaces “Updating the Auditor General”.
- Section 7050 Examination Phase AG Briefing now reflects the new process near the end of examination (it replaces “Briefing the Auditor General”). Changes regarding the AG briefing processes have already been made in the most recent TeamMate update (Nov. 2012).
