Description of Subject:
The following changes have been made to the System of Quality Control (SoQC) sections:
Audit Manual Section 1174—File Freezing
- Guidance has been updated to reflect new TeamMate finalization procedures where an audit team is required to close an audit file because of a decision to discontinue, cancel or postpone an audit before the completion of the audit.
Audit Manual Section 1171—Assembly of the Final Audit File
- Guidance has been clarified to include reference and a link to technical instructions for TeamMate file finalization process, to ensure report status is set to “issued.”
Independence—Frequently Asked Questions
- Question 1(d) has been clarified—the Auditor General does not have to sign independence forms unless he is directly involved in an engagement.
