The Central Team

The Public Accounts audit is led by the Central team. The Central team serves as a coordinator of all major activities related to the audit of the consolidated financial statements of the Government of Canada. The Central team's services to the Office practitioners include the following:

• providing guidance to departmental audit teams (Intranet, sessions, meetings, MS Team and Emails);

• coordinating meetings between Treasury Board, Receiver General, PSPC, Department of Finance Canada and the OAG in order to maintain proper communication channels;

• conducting IT audit work for the central systems (General Banking System (GBS), Standard Payment Systems (SPS), Phoenix and Central Financial Management Reporting System); and

• performing the central audit work related to the planning, execution and reporting of the audit of the of the consolidated financial statements of the Government of Canada, including the compilation of audit work performed by departmental audit teams.
